No: 37, 26 January 2021, Press Release Regarding the Visit of H.E. Mr. Simon Coveney, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defense of the Republic of Ireland to Turkey
H.E. Mr. Simon Coveney, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Defense of the Republic of Ireland, will pay an official visit to Turkey (Ankara and Hatay) on 27-28 January 2021 to hold talks with H.E. Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, as well as to observe the cross-border humanitarian aid to civilians in Syria.
During the talks between the two Foreign Ministers, bilateral relations between Turkey and Ireland, issues regarding the EU and Turkey’s EU accession process will be discussed and an exchange of ideas on current regional and international issues within the context of Ireland’s non-permanent UNSC membership will take place.
